The 3 of us a year ago. Kaleb was so little then!!!
Checking out the tree!! Still not walking, but crawling and pulling up like a pro.
Kaleb being silly with Mama. We are so excited to see how Kaleb reacts Christmas morning. He loves all the music, lights, and excitement. Thank you God for sending your son to be born in a manger, and thank you for blessing us with Kaleb!!! Christmas is truly the most magical time of year!!! Feliz Navidad!!!

FFF and the GI Bug
Kaleb was doing great and then ~3a.m. Wednesday he got sick. I called the Dr. and the nurse said that the lovely GI Bug is making its way around. We are almost 100% thankfully. Kaleb has never vomited so it really scared him. I hate to see my little guy not feeling well.
Now onto the FFF. I took this the other day and thought that the look on his face was priceless. It is saying, "Mom I love you, but please get the camera out of my face!" Have an awesome day and weekend!!!
Well blogger has decided that he doesn't want to upload my pix. I will try again later!!!

FFF
These were taken at the airport when we brought Kaleb home. That was such an awesome and emotional moment. We stepped on the escalator and there were tons of people cheering and crying. This child has brought so much joy to so many people. We are so blessed. Hopefully soon we will have news of another blessing getting ready to join our family.
On a funny note, Kaleb decided to try some extremely hot salsa the other night at a Mexican Restaurant. He tried a little and said HOT and then he got a lot more and really said HOTTTTTTT!!!!! He drank and drank and kept saying spicy spicy. I laughed until I cried. Needless to day he didn't touch the salsa anymore. Have a great day!!!

Favorite Foto Friday
Kaleb is almost over being sick. It has not been too pleasant in our household. I am wore out. But on the bright side our house is almost completely decorated and we are almost 100% again.
This picture was taken at Kaleb's 1st birthday. He didn't walk until he was 18 months old, but he was getting the hang of cruising. It amazes me how much he has grown. My little punky do is a big boy. Have a great day. I have more pix to upload of Kaleb's first cookie dough eating experience. Needless to say it was an enjoyable one!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I hope that everyone had an awesome time with family and friends. We are so blessed to have many people who love us!!! And I am blessed to have an awesome husband and a beautiful little boy who I adore. Kaleb is not feeling well, so tomorrow we will be heading to the Dr. Tim's flight got in this afternoon so I cooked us a small dinner. We are supposed to go to my sister's tomorrow night, but it all depends on Kaleb. Our family does a Thanksgiving breakfast so we did get to see the crew. Take care and have a great night.

Kaleb is 27 months today. It is amazing how time is flying by!!! By little baby is growing up. He is such a joy and we are so blessed to have been chosen to be his parents!!! Thank you God for such an amazing gift!!!
Kaleb is happy to be an official American. Here he is with the manila envelope containing the certificate. We will ask Kaleb where he is from and he replies Guatemala. He is one smart cookie!!! Have a great day!!!

A great day in the Bluegrass
The Wildcats brought home a win from Vanderbilt and EKU men's b-ball won tonight. It has been a great day. Since Tim was working at the game we decided to go. Kaleb loves all the action and was disappointed when we didn't go down so that he could see the dance girls. We are definitely going to have our hands full when he is a teen. Have a great night!!!

Our little friend
We have this sqirrel who enjoys eating our bird seed. The birds seems a bit flustered when they can't get in on the food. But it has been fun watching all the action from our kitchen. I will post a pic later since blogger doesn't want to allow it.

Hoop Fest, Halloween, and FFF too
Monday night we went to Hoop Fest which is the equivalent to UK's Midnight Madness. Kaleb had a great time and loved seeing his Daddy in action. He even had fun flirting with members of the dance team.
Wednesday, Kaleb turned into a little monkey. We went to a few neighbors homes and then to our church for the fall festival. He had a great time and got way too much candy. Me and Tim both won some goodies doing the cake walk. And they are some yummy goodies!!!
Still no news on the adoption front, but as I always say hopefully soon!!!
I just started being a consultant for Thirty One which is based on Proverbs 31. They are a Christian company that sales purses, bags, kids stuff, stationary, and candles. Everything is a great price and personalization is free. As soon as I get my website set up I will let you all know. Have an awesome day and a great weekend!!!
FFF was from last Christmas. I loved seeing everything through Kaleb's eyes!!!
Well blogger doesn't want to allow the pix at the moment so I will try again later.

Favorite Foto Friday and Fingerprints Too
Well my second set of fingerprints are on their way to the FBI. I was smart this time and sent them certified mail needing a signature. Still no news in the adoption. We have been waiting almost 3 weeks. Hopefully within the next 3 weeks we will get picked, but we know no matter what it will happen in the Lord's perfect timing!!!
There is another big game this weekend so GO BIG Blue, beat those gators!!!!

Fundraising
I am running out of ideas!!! We have applied for 1 grant but have still not heard, and are currently applying for another one. It is hard for us because the same people are always helping us, and we need to branch out so that it is not a burden on them. If any of you reading this would like to donate to our adoption fund please leave a comment and I will get back to you. Also, if you have any ideas please throw them our way. Tim is working constantly and it is hard for me to do fundraisers by myself with a 2 year old. I wanted to do a movie/dinner night at our church, but I am not sure if it would go over well due to people being so busy with school functions. I am open to any ideas!!! Thanks so much and have a great and blessed day!!!!

Yard Sale and a HUGE WIN!!!
I am wore out so sorry no pics, but I will post some tomorrow or Monday!!! We ended up with $167 today which wasn't my goal, but anything is good. It was probably not the greatest day for a yard sale as the Cats were playing at home and Keeneland is going. But we had great weather and Kaleb had a blast being outside all day. He took like a 3 hour nap.
On another note the CATS beat #1 LSU!!!!! WOO HOO!!!! We haven't beaten a #1 team since like 1951. It has been a great day in the Blue Grass. Have a great night!!!

Yard Sale #3
Well tomorrow we are having another yard sale. I have been working like crazy to get things ready. We are having it at another friend's house b/c she has a good location for yard sales. Tim is out of town so I am a single mom yet again. Luckily I will have some friends to help out with Kaleb. Well I will post some pix tomorrow night. Have a great Friday and Go Big Blue!!! Beat LSU!!!!

More Fingerprinting!!!
Well we got our fingerprints done August 7, and the agency emailed today that they had received Tim's clearance but not mine. I called IIS who scans the prints and got transferred like 5 times or more. Finally I talk to Scott who says there is no record of my prints and that they will have to be redone. I told him that they were sent together so they got there together. Nonetheless some goof ball probably tossed them and now I have to get them redone. This is nothing major but it is so irritating to me. I called them back and told them that they cashed our check for 2 prints and that I was not going to send more money. The girl, Toni, was super nice and said to send a letter stating what I discussed with Scott. Luckily this doesn't effect birth mothers being able to look at us and/or choose us.

I talked to our agency and they have received a copy of our homestudy. Now they have everything. I talked with a lady from our agency on Monday and she said the hispanic adoptions are moving very quickly. Basically we can be picked anytime. My only concern is that we will be picked by more than one b/m and then we will have to choose. How do you choose a b/m??? We will just continue to pray that the Lord will send us who He has chosen for us.
We are pretty much done with Kaleb's big boy room except for the bed skirt and valance which are being made by a friend. I am now filling up the drawers in the nursery with baby clothes that we have gotten from yardsales. The top drawer is gender friendly, the middle is filled with onesies for both, and the bottom is strictly for the girls. We are getting prepared as anything can happen anyday.
Please lift up Krystal, Michael, Gerson, and Elviz in prayer as the ortega law was passed today, and this could majorly affect their progress with the adoption.

Woo Hoo!!!
Our homestudy has been approved via email, and they should have it in hand by Tuesday. So by the middle of next week the waiting will begin!!! I don't know how to feel b/c this process is so much quicker. Needless to say, we are ecstatic and did a little bit of a happy dance. Have a great day!!!!

A little reading anyone
Kaleb decided to truly enjoy the Sunday paper. He had the most fun. Kids really don't need toys, just give them what you want to throw away and they will have a blast.
Latino Festival
We went to the latino festival last weekend and had a great time. I didn't get many pictures b/c it was dark, but I did get one. This is a beautiful layout and I hope to print out one to hang in Kaleb's room. The food was fabulous and we hope to go next year as well. On Friday they had the parade of nations, but we missed it. Hopefully next year we will take in the full festivities. As usual, Kaleb loved the balloons and wasn't happy until he got one!!!

Let the waiting begin!!!
The paperwork and check are on their way. Finally we are done with all the paperwork. I am sooo glad. These last few things have driven me crazy b/c there was nothing I could do about it. Now we just wait. Who knows how long it will be, but atleast the paperwork is done. Woo Hoo!!!!
This picture was taken last season, but we are so excited that we beat Louisville that I had to post something. I told everyone that the Cats were going to be on top again or atleast in the top 25. Rock On Wildcats!!!!

My write up for Kaleb's picture
Well I wrote something to put under Kaleb's picture but blogger decided not to put it. This was taken this time last year at the pumpkin patch. Kaleb was not sure what to think about all the pumpkins surrounding him. We got his pictures done yesterday so I will try to upload a few for your viewing pleasure. Have a great Friday and weekend!!!
