Texas pix and an update

The campus of Texas Tech was beautiful!!
Texas Tech
Me and Pauline I look pretty rough in this pic and she is so little.
Tim being his silly self.
Pauline and Michael at the science museum.

As I posted previously we had a great visit. Pauline went Tuesday for an OB appt. and everything looks great. I spoke with her today and she said that Kamden is moving around alot and that she has had some sharp pains. Hopefully it is nothing, but considering she is right at 32 weeks we are on baby watch. We are hoping that she goes early to mid July. Tim starts football the first of August so I will be at home with an almost 3 year old and a newborn. Lord help me!!!! He has gotten us this far and will get us the rest of the way!!!! Have a great weekend!!

Home Sweet Home!!!

We are home!!! It has been a very busy last few days. I am so ready to go to bed. Kaleb was a bit overwhelmed when he saw us and cried for like an hour. He had had no nap, so that was the major culprit. Everything went great and we feel really good about the whole adoption. It would be very shocking for them to change their minds as Pauline said that she is ready for Kamden to be out and this to all be done. She said 2 more months and then you will be getting up every few hours!!! Comments like this make me feel better. We learned alot about them, good and bad. Probably more than we would like to know. But all in all it was a good trip. I will post more later including pix, but right now I just want to hit the sack.

Texas here we come

We will be leaving tomorrow to drive to Nashville and will fly out Thursday morning to Lubbock. My nerves have calmed down majorly thanks to some wonderful women at our church. I have been a bit of a wreck with leaving Kaleb and meeting Pauline and Miguel for the first time. This is just so different from Kaleb's adoption that I get nervous easily. I spoke with Pauline today and we plan to meet for dinner Thursday night. Our conversations always go well so hopefully there won't be any long periods of silence. Please say a prayer for safe travels and that all goes well. We don't have a laptop but if there is a computer at the B&B I will update. Kaleb is excited about visiting all his family so I know that he will have a great time!!!
We went to the park tonight and played with Kaleb. He loved it as always!!! Tim got some great pix of him. I will post them as soon as he downloads onto our computer. Have a great week everyone and stay safe!!!!

Update and a call to pray

Pauline's appt. went great today. They examined her and listened to Kamden's heartbeat. They also tested her for gestational diabetes and she is good to go. From now on she will be going every 2 weeks. Kamden's birth is getting closer and closer. Woo Hoo!

Thursday is a day for all of us to pray for all the orphans in Guatemala. There are so many people that we know that have their children stuck in the midst of all this drama. Lets come together and pray them home!! God can do anything!!! We also hope and pray that the adoption process in Guatemala will become what it needs to be so that future children will not be caught in the cross fire.

Father we come to you and ask you to be with all the many orphans in Guatemala. Many of them have families wanting to bring them home, but do to the current situation they are stuck. We hope that very soon this situation will subside and these children will be united with their families forever. God we also lift all those we know that are in the midst of this. Please give them hope and help them to feel your arms holding them up. Adoption is such a beautiful thing and we are called to adopt as you adopted us. Lord we give this to you and ask you to do a miraculous work within Guatemala. We lift this up to you and give you thanks for the children we have all been blessed with. In your name, Amen

Wordless Wednesday

We are OK

I just talked with Pauline and everything seems to be fine and on the up and up. I think that Nikki is being overly cautious which is a good thing. I feel good about everything and that we will have a precious little baby in July. Can you believe that it is May already. Time flies by when you are living life!!!! Well I just wanted to let everyone know that we are all ok and that I think that everything is going well. We wouldn't be in the middle of an adoption if it weren't for the roller coaster ride!!!! Have a great Thursday night!!
