Kaleb loves doing stuff to his brother. For instance in the bathtub Kaleb insists on Kamden drinking bathwater b/c they are drinking coffee. He also loves to push his brother, take things away from him, well pretty much you name it and he does it. We keep telling him that very soon Kamden will be bigger than he is. There are only 4 lbs. between them. But in all the chaos they do love one another, and I hope that one day they will be the best of friends!!!

CRAZY

Life has been crazy around here. Some how my 2 boys have strange bacteria growing inside of them. What does this mean? Well I have been taking the lovely fragrant stool samples to the pediatrician for what seems like forever. I am hoping that very soon we will be done with this. We are waiting to hear from the ped on Kamden's latest, and Kaleb needs to be on florastor for Kids, but we can't find it anywhere. If you know what I am talking about please let us know where to buy it. Hopefully soon we will be as close to normal as we will ever get.

The 2000's were an amazing decade for us!!! Tim and I were married July22, 2000. Then August 16, 2005 Kaleb was born. March 27th, 2006 Kaleb was placed in our arms forever. He was our first miracle via Guatemala that made us a family. Then July 24, 2008 Kamden was born in Texas and allowed us a second miracle. We are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for us this next decade. The economy is not the greatest and many are dealing with difficult circumstances, but take time to remember the blessings you have in your life. They will be sure to bring a smile to your face!!! God bless each and every one of you!!!!!

We have had so much fun this fall with riding the train and heading out to the pumpkin patch. The weather has been pretty good so far. Now we are looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas as they are quickly approaching. I better get busy shopping!!!!

Facebook has taken over once again and I have not posted in a month. Kamden is 13 months today and Kaleb turned 4 on the 16th. I am a horrible mom as I didn't do a birthday post on Kaleb. These pix are totally out of the order I had planned for them, but you get the gist. 1 year ago I was panicking b/c we had just moved into our house and nothing was ready for Kamden. I received the call around 10a.m. that she was at the hospital and in labor. I had a huge anxiety attack which freaked my MIL out. Tim was trying to get everything at work ready for his departure, so getting the packing done was up to me. Basically we just threw anything and everything into the van and finally around 4p.m. took off for an 18 hour drive to Texas. I stayed awake the whole time so that I could keep the driver awake. So when we got there I was a bit delirious. At 4:43p.m. on 7-24-08 Kamden was born. It was so cool to talk to Pauline and hear him. Our first meeting was when he was 1 day old, and we haven't left his side since. He has blessed our family in so many ways. Kaleb loves him most of the time. You know how sibling rivalry is????!!!!

As I think back on our years of infertility and now sterility it was a difficult time, but we are so blessed to have gone through that and to have these precious boys as our sons. It is so easy to forget that I didn't give birth to them. Kaleb is so much like me it is crazy, and Kamden is still working on his personality. He is quite the character though! Happy Birthday to the bean. We love you as high as the sky and as deep as the ocean. You make us smile and laugh. You and your brother are much more than what we could have ever dreamed or imagined. We love you!!!!

Today is July 16th and in 1 month our big baby will be 4 and next week our not so little baby will be 1. It is so hard to believe!!!! Where did the time go???? Next year we will be preparing for Kaleb to start Kindergarten. The thought makes me want to cry. The last few years I have watched the neighborhood kids get on the bus the first day of school and I always cry. I know that he is excited about going, but I know that it will be hard to let go. Letting our kids grow up is not an easy task. But unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. We just need to be there for every minute so that we can relish in everything they do and say. The Lord has so richly blessed us with the job of being our children's parents. They are each little gifts just waiting to blossom in this big world. Well here is a little bit of what has been going on. There are TONS more pix but for some reason they are not showing up. I will have to get Tim to take a look as he is much more computer savvy. I can't believe that is the middle of July. I guess that it is true that time flies when you are having fun. The next big happenings for us will be Kamden turning 1 and Kaleb turning 4. I can't believe that at all!!! Just last year we were preparing for Kamden's birth and now here we are. It seems like Kaleb was never a baby. He is so independant which is good at times. We are so happy with our boys and who knows what the future will hold for us. Kaleb still asks regularly for a sister and I still tell him to talk to the Lord about it. If He wants us to have a daughter He will make it happen. Happy Tuesday and there will be many more pix in the not so distant future.

Well once again I have falled prey to being a blogger slacker. We have been super busy with vacation and just life in general. There are lots of cute pix on our camera that I plan to download today, so keep checking back. Tim had an orthopeodic appt. today and his knee is progressing nicely, slow, but nice. We had to be extra careful at the beach, but we had a great time. Now we are back to reality and right around the corner is football season. I am trying not to think about it. I realize that I have been MIA yet again. Tim had ACL reconstruction done on his right knee the 14th. This ended up being a much bigger surgery than everyone anticipated. His poor knee has taken a lot of stress over that last few years and he had lots of arthritis that they were able to clean out. So needless to say our household has been a bit busy. I am doing well on the new meds so praise the Lord for that. Hopefully things will continue to get better for all of us. The boys are doing awesome and growing like crazy. It is amazing to watch them learn new things everyday. I hope that you all are doing well and having a great week so far. I hope to get back to being a better blogger in the very near future. Wednesday Update

I hope that you all are having a great week. The weather around here has been quite yucky, but that is to be expected with all the spring showers. I am hoping to be done with doctors very soon!!! The latest test was the tilt table test. It was not fun and I did pass out after they gave me nitroglycerin. The tech along with the Dr. told me that I am classic neurocardiogenic syncope. Basically when you are "normal" your brain will send neuro transmittors to your heart telling it to pump blood here and there so that you don't get dizzy. Well my brain doesn't fire neuro transmittors like it should. Basically the blood pools in my legs and causes me to get dizzy, my heart to beat iradically sp?, and my breathing to escalate. I am going to the endocrinologist tomorrow as before I can be put on any meds my Calcium and Vitamin D levels need to be taken care of. After that I will see a cardiologist and hopefully I will be rid of doctors for awhile. This has been a long road, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Please continue to pray that they won't find any other issues. I am waiting to hear if I have Addison's Disease and should know by the end of this week. Sorry to have been such a slacker in the blog dept., but this wears me out and I haven't been able to get very much accomplished around here. But as the saying goes it could always be so much worse. I am thankful to have so many of you praying for me. The Lord has so richly blessed me!!! The kids are great and we had an amazing Easter with family. I have tons of pictures that I hope to download today or tomorrow. The greatest thing was Kaleb being able to tell me why we celebrate Easter. Children are so amazing and there childlike faith is what we should all strive for. Have a blessed Wednesday, and get out there and celebrate our risen Saviour!!!

FFF "Beach"

Our last beach trip was summer 2007 b/c last summer we were in Texas for the birth of this little one. I can't believe that he is 8 months old. Time has flown by way too quickly. This summer he will be almost 1 when we head to Florida for a much needed vacation. I can't wait to see his reaction. Kamden is sitting up really well and babbling up a storm. His favorite words are mama, dada, bubba, baba. And this little one loves to eat!!!

At the harbor behind the Fisherman's Wharf restaurant in Destin, FL. MMMMM seafood sounds so good!!! Kaleb loved all the boats. Kamden will be wearing that outfit this summer.

3 years ago today we held Kaleb for the first time. I keep thinking of all the awesome memories we have of our short time in Guatemala. We will cherish those memories always. It is our hope that we will be able to take a family trip back to Guatemala. Every year on this day we do whatever Kaleb wants to do. Tonight he wants to eat dinner at Chick Filet and head to some stores hoping to find a special toy. This is always a great time for us as a family. We are blessed beyond measure with our 2 beautiful boys. Have a wonderful night and weekend everyone!!

Reflections

Over the past few weeks I have went from being scared to death to have surgery again to a person trying to heal completely. This has truly been hard on me, Tim, & the boys. First of all I am feeling much better. Hopefully soon the cramping will stop which is quite painful at times. The worst part has been my emotions. I don't think that I grasped just how hard this was going to be. After seeing a picture of the fibroid tumor attached to my little uterus I understand why it needed to be done. The hard part is the finality that I will never carry a child in my womb. There seems to be a huge difference in knowing that you can't conceive but still hoping and coming to terms that the chance of conception is impossible. You may say to yourself, well she has 2 boys, what more does she want? What I want is for that switch to be turned off that gives the yearning desire to conceive a baby! We could be like Brad and Angelina and adopt tons of children, but that desire would still be there. Now don't get me wrong it has gotten much quieter, but after my hysterectomy it seemed to be a bit louder. More than likely it was the hormones talking along with the pain meds, but it has made me feel crazy. Tim was worried that I was never going to snap out of it. I still have my moments but am much much better. Basically I am almost back to being Kelli: Christian, wife, mommy, daughter, sister, friend, etc... The great thing about Tim and myself is that we had always wanted to adopt. This has been hard, but the Lord has blessed us beyond measure with not 1 but 2 sons. Who knows He may even bless us with more children in the future!! It seems that most of us as children dream of our future finding Mr. Right and then having a family, house, white picket fence, you know what I mean. Well thank God it doesn't work out that way for everyone. The bumps in the road are what make life LIFE!!! These bumps make us stronger and help to mold us into who we are. What all this boils down to is that I am trying to get over my bump. The most awesome verse is Philippians 4:13 "I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength." I hope to be back to regular blogging very soon and I know that you are all dying to see pix of Kaleb and Kamden. I am just taking it easy, well trying to take it easy, and I know that very soon this will be a thing of the past. Thanks so much for all your prayers and kind words. They mean so very much!! I joined facebook as many of you know and well it has taken over!!! My blog time seems to be nonexistent. I want to try and work it where they will both have equal time from me. This is not really a fake out pic but I couldn't do the post without atleast one pic of Kamden!! Yesterday he started saying DaDa which is sooo cute. Of course I am working on the Mmmmms for Momma!! Oh he weighed in at the Ped at almost 20lbs. and they weighed Kaleb with clothes and shoes and he was 29lbs. This little one is truly a chunk!!

Here is the picture with us and our judge. There were several divorces before our case so everyone was happy when we came along!!! Kamden and Kaleb were at home with family.

The Alamo!!! The weather was beautiful and there are so many great buildings to take pictures of.

I think this is a catholic church. Many of them have cafes and we ate lunch at one of them. It was fabulous and of course look at the crisp blue skies.

A fountain at La Villeta. We felt like we were in Mexico b/c everything seems to be in spanish. Thank goodness I know enough to get by. We bought some awesome things from Guatemala here for the boys. They will not be wearing the traditional outfits on Easter. I can't wait!! Have a great rest of the weekend!!! I hope that next week will not be as eventful. Sunday I almost passed out at church again and then Tuesday I fell down the stairs. And of course Wed. was the crazy storms that sounded like our house was going to blow away. It will be nice when all my health issues are leveled out. Take care everyone!!!

We got home last night from San Antonio and boy are we pooped!!! It was nice to get away, but it was great to get home to our boys. Court was a breeze and the weather there was amazing. We went to the River Walk and the Alamo which were both awesome. There are so many great places to eat there. We even found a few places that the locals go and they were fabulous. Needless to say we are all tired. We slept late this morning and are just hanging out today. Tim, however, had to head to work at 4, but hopefully he won't be gone too long. Kamden was happy to see us. Kaleb was all over the place. He was happy to see us, but didn't necessarily want to go home with us. Not exactly the reaction we had hoped for. Well I have tons of pictures and I promise that you will get to see them very soon. Have a great rest of your weekend!!! Oh I finally joined facebook so you can check me out on there. Kaleb, new from Guatemala and home for the first time!!

There are so many pictures you can add with the theme "new," but to me these cute faces say it all. These faces have brought so much joy to our lives. Yes many days we pushed close to out limit, but when they smile at you the craziness seems to go away atleast for a moment.

This has been quite a week as I found out that I need to have surgery again. The fibroid tumor is too big to try the medicine. Basically the stalk where it attaches it rather large and the medicine will not get rid of that thus making it more susceptible to come back. More than likely I will also have a hysterectomy. I am trying to emotionally prepare myself for this. The chance of us conceiving is slim to none, and Tim said it best when he said for me to not make this decision based on what ifs. The what ifs have controlled me for so long. It is time for me to completely let this go and move forward. We have 2 beautiful boys that are a blessing from God & I wouldn't trade them for the world. Please pray for me to be prepared for this. I was in shock when the Dr. brought up surgery as I wasn't expecting it. I know that it is necessary and will just be glad when it is all over.

This week the theme for FFF is EYES and well Kaleb and Kamden have amazing eyes. Tim says that the girls will definitely love their eyes. Kaleb is 3 1/2 so he uses his eyes a lot to give us lots of looks, and they are not always nice. Kamden is starting to use his more and more. It is so cute when I raise my eyebrows he will mimmik (sp?) me. Of course when either of them smiles their face just lights up, which makes us smile too.

It is frigidly cold here and pretty much every school around is closed due to that. We are just taking it easy and trying to stay warm. Have a great weekend!!

HIGH for the week: Feeling much better and spending some fun time with the boys. It is cold here so we are just taking it easy!! Oh and we woke up to snow this morning. Kaleb was sooo excited!!!

LOW for the week: Mailing in our energy bill was really hard!! My FIL and husband worked on sealing all of our doors, windows, plugs, so hopfully next month will not be as much!! Keep your fingers crossed!!

Sorry for being MIA but there is a lot to do around here. We are in the process of getting everything set to head to TX for Kamden's finalization court hearing. In so many ways I wish that Kamden was going, but I know that it will be nice for us to have a few days by ourselves. Plus we have neither one been to San Antonio so it should be fun. I have tons more pictures to download and will hopefully get that done by this weekend. Have a great rest of your week and I will try to be more on top of things!!!!

Surgery Update

Yesterday was my first surgery, well first under general anesthesia. I was scared to death and had 2 break downs, but I made it through. I have 2 incisions which hurt much worse than I anticipated. Basically the plan was to detach my uterus, remove scar tissue, a cyst, and possibly a fallopian tube. The Dr. did remove the cyst but everything was totally different. Instead of there being scar tissue I have a very large tumor attached to my uterus. It is actually larger than my uterus and it is pulling it to the right. This is what has been causing me so much pain. The Dr. came out and talked to Tim, and the decision was made to close me up and try meds to shrink this tumor. It is benign so no worries there. I go back the 20th to discuss everything. Please pray that these meds will work. The last thing I want is to be cut back open to remove this thing. Even though I have 3 small incisions, it feels like I have 1 large incision. When they brought me into recovery I expected them to tell me that I had a hysterectomy b/c it felt like 1 huge incision. The boys are back home tonight which is great but hard as they want me to hold them and I can't. Kaleb has asked several times to see where the Dr. cut me. He thinks that it is cool. Kamden is sound asleep and hopefully Kaleb will be soon. He is definitely a party animal and could go all night. Take care and I will post more when I am up to it!!!

This picture isn't the greatest for quality, but the smile on Kaleb's face says it all. This is a picture of Kaleb's first time holding Kamden. My baby is now a big brother. And that little baby is not that little these days considering that he is a whopping 17lbs. The last few years have been an exciting, yet emotional, roller coaster. 2005 started adoption process and Kaleb was born on August 16th, 2006 Kaleb comes home, 2007 start adoption process, 2008 Kamden born and home. Who knows what 2009 will have in store for us! Kaleb got Kung Foo Panda for Christmas and we learned a great quote from this movie: Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that is why it is called present. Full of Pictures Wednesday!!!!!

Well as usual the pictures are not in the order I intended, but you get the drift. I would like to download more at a time, but apparently I am not computer savvy enough to figure it out. There are lots lots more pictures from Christmas. We went non-stop from Tuesday-Saturday. The boys had a blast but this momma was wore out!!! Needless to say they both got way too much, but they are having a blast with all their goodies. This is the first year that we really bought Kaleb anything and let me tell you, he really got into the whole opening present thing. He thinks that everyday should be Christmas. I think that he is finally understanding that the presents are over for now. We read the Christmas story to the boys and it is so amazing to ask Kaleb questions and he knows the answers. The Lord has blessed us beyond measure with our little bundles of joy. We love them more than they will ever know, and when Kaleb tells me he loves me or Kamden gives me that little smile it makes my heart melt. They did nothing to deserve our love, just as we did nothing to deserve the love of our Father in Heaven. He loves us unconditionally!!!! That is the most amazing gift ever!!!!

Kamden is recooping from an ear infection. He is on antibiotics which has been a bit difficult to get down him, but he is getting the hang of it. He even ate 5 bites of cereal the other night from a spoon. Of course after that he screamed b/c it was bottle time, but atleast we are making progress.

Today was my pre-op appt. for my surgery which is scheduled for Monday. I am a bit nervous about it as I have never been under general anesthesia. Please say a prayer that all goes well and that I will be calm that day. Sometimes my anxiety gets the best of me, so I definitely need to remain calm. Hopefully after this all will be good with my body. I turned 30 and literally everything seemed to go haywire. Well it is late and my eyes are very heavy. Sorry for being a slacker in the blog dept., but things have been CRAZY here. We hope for them to slow down a bit real soon. Take care and have a blessed Wednesday!!!

Many people are doing their Santa pictures for todays FFF, but since Kaleb detests Santa we are doing our own theme. Who doesn't love self portraits!!!! I can't believe that next week is Christmas. I don't have anything wrapped yet. Hopefully this weekend that will all be taken care of. We have had sooo many dinners, banquets, parties to attend that I don't know if I am coming or going. The boys love the Christmas tree and all the decorations. Every morning the first thing Kaleb asks is to turn on the lights. He loves Christmas songs and knows many by heart. It is so precious to hear him sing Happy Birthday Jesus. The kids sang last Sunday and well Kaleb did a great job standing there, but he did learn all the words. Oh well, I get to enjoy his singing all to myself. Have an awesome Friday and a superb weekend!!!!!

Here is a look at the wonderful enjoyment you receive while eating a cinnamon roll and then the not so great looks you get while feeding your baby cereal for the first time. Kaleb loves his cinnamon rolls and Kamden detests eating his cereal with a spoon. I have relented to putting it in his bottle. We tried it again this week and he still seems to hate the texture. Well we will keep trying and hopefully eventually he will enjoy it!!!! I forgot to post Kamden's stats from his 4 month check: weight 16lbs. 1oz. length 24 1/2 " He is probably close to 17lbs. now. The boy loves to eat. Kaleb is right at 30lbs. so Kamden is definitely quite the chunk. I keep telling Kaleb that Kamden will get him back very soon for all the pesturing!! I hope that you are all having a good week so far. Our house is slowly getting rid of the lovely stomach bug that has been going around. It is not much fun when you have a 3 year olf and a 4 month old feeling under the weather. Today it is cold and rainy outside. The kind of weather that makes you want to turn on the lights of the Christmas Tree and snuggle up on the couch. December is such an amazing month as we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior!!! We all have an endless list of things to do and places to go, but please take time out to remember what we are celebrating. The Lord has blessed us with soo much!! I have an amazing husband and 2 beautiful boys, not to mention a roof over my head and food on our table. We are in the midst of a recession, so it is easy to think about what we don't have, but instead lets think about what we do have. So as you go about your day/week think about these things and hopefully they will bring a smile to your face!!! Have a blessed Tuesday!!!

Crying & Diarhhea: Calgon take me away!!!

As you can tell from my title, it has been lots of fun in our household!!! Kamden started out with the diarrhea and now Kaleb has it. They have both been whiny and clingy which has made me one tired mama. Plus I started on a beta blocker for my vegas nerve disorder. Oh and by they way the cardiologist found 2 valves in my heart that are leaking. It amazes me that so much has happened since I turned 30. I pray that things level out and that we will all be good to go in the coming year. Back to the poop issue: yesterday Kaleb couldn't hold it and went in the high chair. He thought that he would get in trouble so he kept saying I' m sorry mama it was an accident. Well when I stood him up to get him out it all came out of his pant leg. Well I told him to stay put while I proceeded to run upstairs to get a towel. It was all over him so he went straight into the tub. I also had to remind him not to drink the bath water as it is very gross. Boys are too funny!!! Today hasn't been too bad except for Kaleb holding the poo. Needless to say he is quite the little stinker. Tomorrow we head to the Ped. and hopefully things will be back to as close to normal as they possibly can be. I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was very nice. Now we are on to getting ready for Christmas!!!! Let the fun begin!! Enjoy the pix and have an awesome rest of your day!!!

Update on Luke

He made is through surgery great. I haven't heard how his night was, but hopefully it was good. The did both procedures on his heart as well as put a pacemaker in. It is not hooked up as of yet. Josh and Cassie want us to pray for a speedy recovery so that they can be back home. Luke is a little fighter so I know that they will be home soon. Please continue to lift them up in prayer.

An update on myself: I went to the Dr. yesterday and he wants me to see a cardiologist so I go Tuesday at 5:15p.m. They are going to perform a tilt test to basically make the vagus nerve overstimulate. This will allow them to know what medication I need to be on. I just want this taken care of as it makes me nervous being at home with the boys. Kaleb is one smart cookie, but I would never want to put him in that situation.

Unexpected trip

Well Sunday during church I started feeling light headed and then I started to hyperventilate. Tim barely got me to the back before I passed out. I ended up leaving in an ambulance as my BP and heartrate kept dropping. After several tests and lots of nausea the Dr. determined that my vagus nerve got over stimulated. The vagus nerve is a cranial nerve that controls your BP and heartrate. Apparently some people are more apt for this to happen and I am one of those people. I just have to be careful. The scary thing is that this happened all of a sudden. Thank God that I was at church and there were lots of people to take care of me. Hopefully nothing like this will happen again any time soon. Take care everyone and enjoy your cold Tuesday.

One more thing, a little friend of ours, is scheduled right now for a chest x-ray and ECG. Tomorrow at 11:30a.m. in Michigan, Luke is scheduled for his 3rd open heart surgery. He just turned 2 so this is very critical. He has a heart condition known as HLHS so please lift he and his mommy and daddy up in prayer. Kaleb and Luke are best buds!!!!!

Well I don't have many pictures of kisses, but you can definitely feel the love in these pix. Kaleb and Kamden are getting so big. I think that Kamden will soon be bigger than Kaleb!!! I keep reminding Kaleb of that every time he picks at his brother. We have had a great week except for finding out that I need to have surgery. It is nothing major, but when you have never had surgery they all seem pretty major. I used to work in surgery and loved every minute of it. But I don't want to be the one on the table. Well it could always be worse, and this surgery should take away some pain I have been having. The big day is Jan. 5th so I have a while. Take care and have an awesome weekend. Kaleb doesn't like trains, but he loves Thomas. As you can tell he dressed up as Percy since verde is his favorite color. Kamden wore a cute sleeper that said I want my mummy. We enjoyed seeing family and friends. However we did go on Main Street to see my cousin and the costumes were a bit too scary for even myself. We were there for only 5 minutes.

One of my great friends turned 30 on the 31st so on the 1st she had a get together where we all had to wear a wig. I wore a pink one which Kamden and Kaleb neither one were too sure about. I ended up looking like a rocker fairy with my wig, polkadot rain boots, and wings. Everyone else just wore a wig, so I looked pretty silly. We had a really fun time at the pumpkin patch, but it was pretty chilly. Kamden stayed in the stroller all bundled up. I am sure he wondered what in the world we were doing b/c I pushed him all over the patch and well it was quite bumpy. I think that the warm weather has officially left us as today it is in the low 50's and raining. We are definitely in the midst of good chili weather. The weekend is almost here everyone!!! I hope that your week has gone well so far. Our weather keeps yo yoing from hot to cool, which makes it difficult to figure out what to put on the kids. We were at church last night and during prayer time there were mentioned numerous names of people dealing with illness as well as those who are unsaved. We had a whirlwind summer as we sold our house in 4 days, had to find a house, have it painted, bought a different vehicle, and then went on the long but exciting trip to Texas to meet our new son. I am exhausted just thinking about everything. But considering that I was up all night that probably has alot to do with it. It was a great summer that went by way too fast. Now we are in the midst of fall and football. I look at my boys and I just want time to stand still. They grow up way too quickly. We are so blessed to have these little miracles running around!!! Kamden's 2 month check

Yesterday we took Kamden to the Pediatrician. He weighed in at a whopping 13lbs.1oz. and is 23" long. He is definitely our little chunky monkey. Poor guy had to get 4 shots which he was very upset about. Kaleb was talking to the Dr. like crazy as he loves Dr. Parrot. He said that Kamden will probably never say a word b/c his big brother will speak for him. This will probably be true. Well when I get a moment I will post some pix. Finally here is a picture of the 4 of us!!!! It was taken at church last Sunday. We had children's church so I dressed accordingly. Kaleb had to have his shorts changed as he decided it was a great idea to put playdough in the pockets of his other shorts. Kids are so funny and you just never know what they are going to do!!! It is so awesome to have 2 little boys. I remember the days me and Tim spent talking about the children we would have, biological and adopted. We had this so called plan of ours that we thought would happen just as we said. Well thank God it didn't!!! Yes infertility stinks and yes I still have the yearning desire to carry a baby in my womb. Who knows, the Lord may allow it to happen one day!! He is the Great Physician and can do all things!! This verse says it all, "For I know the plans I have for you" this is the Lord's declaration "plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 The Lord has an amazing plan for all of us!! Our children are the greatest blessings in our lives, and I thank God everyday for them and what they mean to us. Adoption is such a beautiful thing as it portrays what Christ did for us! We are all so lucky!! Have a great weekend!!

A not so stressful Tuesday

Sunday morning was totally unexpected as Tim's sugar levels ended up dropping dramatically without warning and he passed out. This has never happened so I called 911. They were super nice and even though Tim was furious with me, I was glad that I called them. After he ate his level was at 41, so it had dropped extremely low. Thankfully he is great and all is well. The problem was that his pancreas still functions and decided to kick in after he took his insulin. He is type 1 1/2 which makes things a little different.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon with the boys at Kaleb's Ped. appt. Normally we are in and out, but we were there 2 1/2 hours. Poor Kaleb had a wart removed, his finger pricked, and then more blood drawn at the lab. They thought that he was iron deficient, but the nurse called this morning and he is good to go.

I am soo thankful that nothing major is going on the rest of this week. I am wore out to say the least. I need to head to the grocery store but I may put off until Tim gets home from work. The only frustrating thing from today is me trying to print off pix to send to the agency. My memory card hold alot of pictures and it is only showing 30. I think that it is going to just be one of those weeks where i just can't seem to win!!! Oh well, if we didn't have struggles we wouldn't be alive!! Have a great day and enjoy the pix. Tomorrow is the get together with all the family at our house. Yesterday I was at the grocery store for almost 2 hours and it wore me out. Kaleb loved it b/c he got to ride in the car in front of the cart. We are working hard trying to get things out of the garage so that we can actually park in it. Hopefully soon everything will be complete in our house. Next week we will be heading to Cincinatti to watch the Colonels in action. I can't believe that football season is already here. Tim has been working like crazy so maybe things will calm down for him just a bit. Kamden is doing great!! He is quite the chunk. Thankfully he is sleeping more at night so I think that he is close to going all night without waking up. That sounds great!!

My great friend Dori welcomed their son DJ yesterday. He is beautiful and perfect in every way. We are both so blessed and it was great having her to go through this process. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!!! God Bless!!!

Kaleb turns 3

We had a little party with some friends on Kaleb's birthday. This coming Sat. we are having a cookout with all the family as many of them couldn't make it on the
16th. Kaleb was definitely given lots of attention on his special day. He had a great time and can't wait to do it all again on Sat.

Kamden is doing great sleeping and eating. They are both napping at the moment which sounds great to me. Maybe I will get a few minutes in before the next feeding.

I want to send a shout out to Dori who is with her fam in OK for the birth of their son. We went through this process together, so it is very exciting to finally meet these precious babies. God is good!!!!

Sorry for not posting, but I have been a bit overwhelmed. Tim is working crazy hours and doesn't get home until bedtime, so blogging has definitely taken a back seat. Showering also seems to have taken a backseat. It is amazing what us moms go through, but it is all worth it!!!! Kamden now weighs in at 8lbs. 4ou. He is a good eater!!! We are going to church tomorrow which will be great as we have missed 2 weeks. Enjoy the pix and I will try to do better.

We got home late last night. Today has been nice since we have just layed around and did laundry. We are also trying to hang some pictures so that our house will be in order. Kamden did ok sleeping last night. We figured out that the bumpyness of the car ride made him want to be rocked. Today he has gotten better!!! Tim goes back to work tomorrow which I dread, but with everything we will get through it!!!! We still don't have a family pic but hopefully will soon. Kaleb is doing great and was so happy to get home to his toys. He told us that Kamden was going to sleep in his room tonight. We got the call today that we can go home!!!! WOO HOO!!!! The agency called us while we were at Kamden's appt. He did great, but of course he hated getting the heal stick done. That wore him out and he slept for a couple hours. Lunch went well with Pauline and Michael. They weren't emotional which made things much easier.

We will be staying with Tim's aunt in OK city tomorrow night and will get home on Sat. night. It will be soo nice to be at home. This has been a long ride and we are ready for it to slow down. Please don't be too mad about there being no pix, but with us leaving I have a lot to do. I will send photo's via my cell to Dori and will ask her to post them tomorrow. Have a great afternoon. Thanks for all the comments and prayers. Adoption is such an amazing thing, but with it comes many emotions. It definitely helps having such a great support system!!!

We are doing great!!! Kaleb is with his Daddy at the Science Museum so I know they are having a blast. He is all into dinosaurs and was very excited to see them in person. Kamden goes back to the Ped. tomorrow for a second heal stick which I dread. Then we are going to meet Pauline and Michael for lunch. I hope that all goes well. Update on mi familia

Kamden's appt. went really well today. We will take him back Thursday for a heal stick as they do 2 here in TX. He has gained 3 ounces and is doing great!!! We had a good night last night and have had a great day. Obviously waiting around in a hotel room is a bit boring, but we are definitely making the most of it. Once we get back home Tim will be working 7 days/week. Thanks for all the comments. I love reading them and hearing from all of you. Have a good night and we will update more later.

Almost bed time

We had a good day just laying around the hotel room. It seems like we haven't stopped since Thursday. Kamden is down for hopefully a while. He had his first bath by us tonight and well he didn't enjoy it. But once he got all lotioned up and had his gown put on life was back to normal. Kaleb is in love with his brother. He is constantly asking if he is ok. I am glad about this as we were a bit worried. You just never know how Kaleb will react to people. He either loves you or hates you. Well tomorrow we are taking Kamden to the Dr. for a check and then we will continue the waiting process. It is such a pain being at the mercy of other people, but that is the adoption process in a nut shell. We will probably contact Pauline tomorrow to see how they are doing and will possibly set up a lunch for mid to late week. I spoke to Kelli last night. They got into TX yesterday afternoon and went right to the hospital to see Kamden. They spent some time there but wanted to give Pauline and Miguel some time with him as well so they headedd back to their hotel to shower and change (since they had just driven 20 hours), they could use the refresher. They were heading out to pick up some food and then going back to the hospital when I spoke to her about 8pm est yesterday. Kelli said she was packing a small bag in case she spent the night at the hospital with Kamden. She said that Kanmden should be released tomorrow (which is now today)! She also said Kaleb did really well on the drive down. She said when he came into the hospital room he was a little shy, but once he realized that the little baby he was looking at was going to be his little brother he instantly kicked into BIG brother mode wanting to touch him and hold him. Kelli will touch base with me again today and hopefully I will get some more pictures! Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes, I know she will love reading them when she returns!

I just received a call from Kelli....Kamden is HERE!!!! Here are the stats I received:

Born: 4:45 pm CST
Weight: 7lbs., 9 oz.
Height: 19 3/4 inches

Kelli said she was told he has a FULL head of hair and while on the phone she heard him screaming, so he definitely has a good set of lungs on him! Everyone is doing well and they are on their way to TX to meet their son! Please continue to keep them all in your prayers during the final steps of their amazing journey on becoming a family of 4!

Pauline is in the Hospital!!!!!

Hi! This is Dori, Kelli's friend, and I am updating her blog since she is packing up the van and heading to TX!!!! WOO HOO!!! Pauline is in the hospital, she is 6 cm dilated and 80% efaced. She lost her mucus plug about 4am this morning and the Dr. told her to come on in! They're leaving soon and it should take about 18 or so hours to get there (they will try not to stop) :) Kelli will be calling me and updating me as well as sending pictures, I will post all updates as I get them. I ask that we all keep Kelli, Tim, Kaleb and little baby Kamden in our prayers and pray for Pauline and Miguel that their hearts are filled with peace.
I will make sure to pass all comments onto Kelli since she does not have Internet access!

Almost Home

The painters will be done tomorrow so that will be our first night in the new house. We have been working like crazy getting things done. Dust is everywhere from the drywall being redone in areas. I don't know if I will ever get the house completely cleaned from it. But I/we are doing our best.

Pauline goes Tuesday morning to the OB and they are going to examine her. If nothing is progressing we will wait until the following visit. More than likely things will wait until then, but anything can happen. Tueaday we will start packing the van so that we will be ready when the call comes through. It is still so crazy to think that we are going to have a newborn very soon. Like I have said before I don't think that it will sink in until he is placed in our arms. Well I will update later when I have more info. I will download some pix one of these days, but due to the craziness these quick updates will have to do. Have a great Sunday and God bless!!!

Pauline has gained 2 lbs. She said that she has gotten really big, but I doubt considering how small she was to begin with. They didn't do an exam today but will do one next week. She is 37 weeks and 5 days so we are getting closer and closer. Everything looked great and she is still set for the 31st unless Kamden decides to come earlier.

The workers are supposed to start painting tomorrow so hopefully by this weekend we will get stuff moved into the downstairs. We are all ready to be in our house and in our routine. Kaleb is napping so I better go and wake him up. Have a great night everyone!!!

Update on our familia

Well our stuff is moved into the garage of our new house. We are currently staying with friends while the workers get the walls fixed and painted. Once all is done I think that it will look great. Kaleb is having a bit of a hard time as we are essentially living in limbo. Hopefully by this coming weekend we will have atleast the downstairs furniture in so that maybe we will be able to actually live there. As far as Kamden news there is none at the moment. I am hoping to be 1/2 way settled into the new house before we receive the call. I need to call Pauline tonight or tomorrow as this past week was obviously crazy. She did skip her OB appt. last week and I hope that she makes it to this one. We are thinking that maybe the OB will have an idea of how things will go down. I guess that this all depends on if they do an exam. Well sorry for not updating sooner, but like I said we have been on a crazy roller coaster. I will let you know how things progress and hopefully we will have some news from her appt. on Tuesday. Have a great week!!!

Well we really don't have any dancin pix, but I do need to get some on video. These are just some recent pix that I have snapped of Mr. Kaleb. We have been packing like crazy. We close next Friday on both houses and the people of the house we are buying will not let us do anything before Friday. So we will pack everything into a Ryder truck Thursday and stay with friends. Close on Friday, unload truck, and then on Sat. the drywaller/painter will begin his work. We are getting so close to Kamden being here it is not even funny. I can't wait to meet him, but I want our house 1/2 way in order before we leave. Ok, Kelli, take a deep breath and count to ten. This is what I keep telling myself over and over. It will all work out. God has made His plan evident in our life so we just have to trust that and go with the flow!!! Happy 4th everyone and have a great weekend!!!

Odds and Ends

Ok, so I have had some people ask about our yard sale and Pauline's OB appt. Well the yard sale was a bust. We made close to $50 and $23 of that was for advertising. Oh well, we tried!!! Goodwill here we come, b/c we are not dragging it all with us to the next house. I will be sooo glad once we are moved and settled. I am trying to chill out, but I need things to get done. We are waiting on the previous owners to give us the ok so that the drywallers can do their work and then we can get it painted. It will happen and we will be OK!!!

Pauline went today for her appt. Last night she thought that she was in labor but the contractions went away. This has been happening quite a bit, so we both think that she has like 2-3 weeks left. Of course, who knows but God!!! Everything looks great and she goes back the 8th. She has gained 16lbs. total which is great. I think that she will be back to normal once Kamden comes into the world. Pauline has been so worried about her weight. I weigh more than she does and I am not pregnant. Well needless to say things are great and we are preparing for Kamden's big arrival. Oh yeah, we bought a van today so we are officially in the soccer mom's club. It is a 2003 Mazda MPV and we got it at a great price. One of the kids in our youth group bought our Escort, so everyone is happy. Now I just need to learn how to park a van. Like they say practice makes perfect. Our household is in a state of total chaos, and we are hoping for things to level out very soon. Have a great night!!!!

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend. Kaleb has been in vacation bible school all week and he has loved every minute of it. Tonight was family night and they decided to let the 2-3 year olds sing with the 4-5 year olds. Kaleb said that he was going to sing loud. Well he just stood there, but he did a great job doing it. We got it on video and I can't wait to watch it. Tomorrow we are having a yard sale and I hope that it goes well. Whatever we make will help with our trip to Texas. Monday is Pauline's OB appt. and I am anxious to hear what she says. Hopefully something exciting!!! Well take care and have a good one!!!

Tim has been out of town this week and boy has Kaleb missed his daddy. He loves to wrestle so I thought that it would make him happy if I did that. Not so much. He told me not to get rough with him!!! I guess that moms aren't meant to wrestle!!! Luckily he will be home tomorrow.

Pauline entered her 34th week yesterday and we are still looking at July 31st for Kamden to be here. We have decided to drive as flying is way too expensive. Our plan is to take 2 days to drive and get there on the 30th. She goes back to the OB on the 30th of this month. Hopefully the OB will have more info for us. Have a great weekend!!!

House news

Well we sold our house and we bought one on Saturday. We close for both on July 11. We have sooo much going on. We have to pack up, move, and be ready for a baby on July 31st or earlier. YIKES!!!!! We are excited and our nerves have calmed down quite a bit. Pauline has an appt. with the OB tomorrow. She is hoping to persuade her to do another ultrasound so we know how much Kamden weighs. Hopefully she will succeed. It is so hard to believe that we will have a baby in 6 weeks. There are still things that I need to buy, but for the most part we are prepared. One thing that I really want is a sling or a wrap, whatever you call it. I just know that they come in pretty colors, and I have heard that they are great. If anyone knows a place to get these at a great price please let me know. If there is anything major to post about Pauline's appt. I will do so tomorrow. She has been having some braxton hicks contractions so hopefully she will go a bit early. Let the craziness begin!!!!

Kaleb wanted to help put his diapers away!! We are excited to say that he is pretty much 100% potty trained. We sometimes wear a pull up at nap or night time, but the rest of the time he is wearing his underoos. Woo Hoo Kaleb!!!

Pauline had her OB appt. today and it went well. She has lost 2 more pounds, but the Dr. is not concerned and thinks that it is due to the extreme heat there. Today it was 104 in Lubbock. Kamden has turned into the right position and his head is already low. His little booty is apparently sitting in her left side. He was moving around today and his heartbeat was great. She goes back again in 2 weeks. Pauline is sooo ready to have him. It would be nice if she went a bit early, but I guess that only time will tell. Our closets are packed with Kaleb's baby stuff so I guess that I need to start going through everything. We got some little 0-3 month summer outfits at a yardsale this weekend. It is so much fun getting ready for a baby. I just pray that all goes smoothly for all of us!!! Have a great night!!!

As I posted previously we had a great visit. Pauline went Tuesday for an OB appt. and everything looks great. I spoke with her today and she said that Kamden is moving around alot and that she has had some sharp pains. Hopefully it is nothing, but considering she is right at 32 weeks we are on baby watch. We are hoping that she goes early to mid July. Tim starts football the first of August so I will be at home with an almost 3 year old and a newborn. Lord help me!!!! He has gotten us this far and will get us the rest of the way!!!! Have a great weekend!!

Home Sweet Home!!!

We are home!!! It has been a very busy last few days. I am so ready to go to bed. Kaleb was a bit overwhelmed when he saw us and cried for like an hour. He had had no nap, so that was the major culprit. Everything went great and we feel really good about the whole adoption. It would be very shocking for them to change their minds as Pauline said that she is ready for Kamden to be out and this to all be done. She said 2 more months and then you will be getting up every few hours!!! Comments like this make me feel better. We learned alot about them, good and bad. Probably more than we would like to know. But all in all it was a good trip. I will post more later including pix, but right now I just want to hit the sack.

Texas here we come

We will be leaving tomorrow to drive to Nashville and will fly out Thursday morning to Lubbock. My nerves have calmed down majorly thanks to some wonderful women at our church. I have been a bit of a wreck with leaving Kaleb and meeting Pauline and Miguel for the first time. This is just so different from Kaleb's adoption that I get nervous easily. I spoke with Pauline today and we plan to meet for dinner Thursday night. Our conversations always go well so hopefully there won't be any long periods of silence. Please say a prayer for safe travels and that all goes well. We don't have a laptop but if there is a computer at the B&B I will update. Kaleb is excited about visiting all his family so I know that he will have a great time!!!
We went to the park tonight and played with Kaleb. He loved it as always!!! Tim got some great pix of him. I will post them as soon as he downloads onto our computer. Have a great week everyone and stay safe!!!!
